Roopkund is rated Challenging — this is a serious high-altitude trek. You will reach 4,800 m with steep glacial moraine sections and potential snow. Prior multi-day trekking experience above 3,500 m is strongly recommended. You should be able to walk 8–10 hours on consecutive days at altitude. Start cardiovascular training (running, cycling, stair climbing) at least 8 weeks before your departure date. Smaller group sizes (12 max) ensure more individual attention from the guide.

  2. Day 2: Didina → Ali Bugyal (5 km, meadows)
  3. Day 3: Ali Bugyal → Ghora Lotani (4 km, acclimatisation)
  4. Day 4: Ghora Lotani → Bhagwabasa (6 km, steep ascent)
  5. Day 5: Summit day — Bhagwabasa → Roopkund Lake → return (5 km)
  6. Day 6: Bhagwabasa → Bedni Bugyal (10 km, descent)
