Frequently Asked Questions
How does the custom design process work?
It starts with a conversation — typically 30–45 minutes. We ask about your intention, timeline, energy level, preferences, and any specific needs. From there, we design a detailed proposal: location, duration, daily rhythm, practices, meals, and accommodation. You review, we refine, and you arrive into a retreat built specifically for you.
How far in advance should I book?
Ideally 2–4 weeks for straightforward retreats. For retreats requiring specific teachers, specialised practices, or peak-season dates, 4–8 weeks is better. We have accommodated shorter notice when possible — ask and we will do our best.
What is the pricing structure?
Private retreats are priced based on duration, location, group size, teacher requirements, and specific services. We provide transparent pricing during the design phase — no hidden costs, no surprises. Expect a premium over group retreats, reflecting the dedicated planning, personalised sourcing, and exclusive accommodation.
Can I design a retreat for a couple?
Absolutely — couples retreats are among our most popular private formats. We design experiences that balance shared practices (partner yoga, couples meditation, joint walks) with individual space (solo time, personal reflection). Many couples use these retreats for reconnection, milestone celebrations, or simply being together without the demands of daily life.
Can I design a retreat for my team or company?
Yes. We design corporate and team retreats for groups of 4–12. These typically combine elements of nature immersion, mindfulness practice, and unstructured connection time. No trust falls, no PowerPoints, no team-building exercises. Instead: genuine human experience in a mountain setting that creates the conditions for real connection and creative thinking.
Can I combine multiple practices in one retreat?
Yes — this is one of the main reasons people choose private format. Morning yoga with afternoon sound healing. Creative work followed by forest walking meditation. Three days of silence followed by a day of music and expression. Any combination that serves your intention.
Which location should I choose?
We recommend based on your intention. Chakrata for silence and nature. Rishikesh for spiritual depth and yoga. Mussoorie for gentle beauty and couples. Sankri for deep wilderness. Munsiyari for alpine grandeur. We can also design multi-location retreats — for example, starting in Rishikesh for yoga and moving to Chakrata for silence.
What is included?
Everything: accommodation, all meals (customised to your dietary needs), teacher/facilitator access, all planned activities and experiences, local expertise, and logistical coordination. Travel to the retreat location is not included but we provide detailed guidance and can arrange pickup from Dehradun.
Can I bring children?
Yes — family retreats are welcome. We design age-appropriate experiences: nature exploration for young children, creative work for teens, and practice-based elements for adults. The mountain environment is naturally engaging for children. We can arrange childcare support during adult practice sessions if needed.
What if my needs change during the retreat?
The retreat adapts. If you arrive wanting yoga but discover you need silence, we shift. If a particular practice resonates deeply and you want more, we expand it. The private format exists precisely for this flexibility — your retreat responds to what is actually emerging rather than following a predetermined script.
